Healthy Living
Our bodies need physical and mental maintenance as well as our soul and spirit.
“I prosper and walk in health even as my soul prospers .” 3 John 2
Physically speaking, we need to care for ourselves.
“For we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Let our bodies function in the wonderful way you designed it to function. “ Psalm 139:14
We need to do our part in staying healthy and God will do what is out of our control.
1. Seek peace in life.
“A heart at peace gives life to the body.” Proverbs 14:30
2. Natural pure foods.
“Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.” II Corinthians 7:1
3. Exercise will get us to a healthy weight whether it’s aerobics or just going for a daily walk.
“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God , and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit , which are Gods.” I Corinthians 6:19-20
4. Pure water.
Filtered water is a form of pure drinking water.
“ I will pour water on him who is thirsty.” Isaiah 44:3
5. Prayer and fasting to clean the bloodstream and bring us into a greater knowledge of Him .
“ Even now,” declares the Lord, “ return to me with all of your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Joel 2:12
6. Fresh air and sunlight to ensure physical and mental health and goodness.
“ Light is sweet, and it pleases the eyes to see the sun.” Ecclesiastes 11:7
7. Restful sleep so that we awake refreshed and rejuvenated.
“For we who have believed do enter that rest.” Hebrews 4:3
